Tom Hall is an expert with AlterEcho in developing cost effective and timely solutions for materials management and logistical issues in industrial settings. Tom has a distinguished background with the United States Army that also included emergency response in support of the President. He is an environmental and industrial safety and risk management expert with more than 45 years of experience in nuclear, industrial, chemical weapons and explosives safety; emergency management; project management; and implementation of federal and state environmental laws and regulations.
He served as the Senior U.S. representative to the NATO Committee of Experts on the Transportation and Storage of Explosives and advised the Secretary of Defense and Service Secretaries on ammunition and explosives safety and handling. As Project Manager of the Mississippi Army Ammunition Plant, Tom identified, documented, and executed all actions necessary to correct design deficiencies, complete the multi-million dollar plant, increase plant productivity and reduce per-unit costs.
When Tom is not busy keeping things from blowing up or contaminating the environment, he spends time with his 5-inch Maksutov-Cassegrain or his 12-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes making sure nothing new has arrived in the night sky unannounced. He also spends a lot of time enjoying his six grandkids, who range from 2 to 15 years old.
